BioCatch took the stage at the 2018 OurCrowd Global Investor Summit, the largest investor event in Israel, to showcase our behavioral biometrics technology alongside the hottest tech companies coming out of StartUp Nation.
With decades of innovation fueled by the elite Unit 8200, Israel is ripe with startups making a global impact. OurCrowd illustrated why the country’s startup and venture capital scene is unrivaled. For BioCatch, it was an exciting moment to introduce our cutting-edge approach to detecting and protecting against the latest forms of cybercrime.
Live on stage, BioCatch’s Daniel Shkedi demo’d how BioCatch builds biometric user profiles to detect fraud in online applications. Using an iPad, Shkedi showed how a user’s swipe on a mobile device can secure their identity. Because every swipe pattern is unique, behavioral biometrics can differentiate legitimate users from fraudsters lurking in the digital shadows. We also demonstrated how our patented Invisible Challenges technology works behind the scenes to prevent replay attacks, malware, robotic attacks and other cyberthreats from taking over a session that a legitimate user has logged into.
Monitoring user behavior, like swipe patterns, pressure, and hand-eye coordination is the best way to stop online fraud. Why? Because it looks past traditional authentication measures, like entering personal information, that do not do enough to protect users.
At BioCatch, we monitor more than 5 billion transactions every month, giving us superior insight into fraudsters tactics – and how to stop them. We are also the industry leader in patents for our fraud prevention technology, with 50+ granted or pending. Our goal is to give businesses a solution to fraud that is as unobtrusive as it is robust, so that customers and businesses are protected from human and non-human threats.
OurCrowd was an early investor in BioCatch, and the opportunity to present on stage substantiated our growth and the caliber of our work as a startup in the behavioral biometrics space.
In a time when cybercrime is eroding our trust in online interactions, watch how behavioral biometrics are helping companies and customers stay secure.
