BioCatch Announces 2023 Dates for Community & Customer Briefings, Seminars, and Meet-Ups

NEW YORK (March 14, 2022) – BioCatch, the pioneer of behavioral biometric intelligence and a global leader in fraud detection, announced the dates for its 2023 community and customer briefings, meet-ups, and seminars: BioCatch Connect, BioCatch Fraud Fighters, and Threat Talk Live.

These briefings and seminars bring together experts from the front lines of digital fraud, risk, compliance, anti-money laundering, and cyber security, including executives, practitioners, analysts, advisors, and industry thought-leaders who have a direct view into the unique challenges faced by financial institutions, telecommunication providers, major retailers, and other organization who engage with customers digitally in the fight against online fraud.

As a community we have the opportunity, capability, and duty to join forces to fight fraud,” said Gadi Mazor, CEO of BioCatch. “How we collaborate in these next few months and years will absolutely determine our success in stemming emerging financial fraud types such as mules, mobile malware, stolen device, and scam derivatives, and ensure our customers can interact with our products and brands confidently and safely.”

BioCatch Connect provides a unique forum for industry executives to collaborate in a closed-door, private forum and to discuss and learn about the latest trends influencing investment in AML, cyber security, fraud prevention, customer identity and access management (CIAM), and more. Each BioCatch Connect event features an industry keynote speaker who discusses current and emerging fraud trends, which are further examined in breakout sessions with banking industry attendees and experts. BioCatch Connect launched in the spring of 2022, with events in London, England, Santiago, Chile, and New York City. 2023 will follow a similar cadence:

BioCatch Connect London: May 11, 2023

BioCatch Connect São Paulo: June 14, 2023

BioCatch Connect New York: October 11, 2023

BioCatch Fraud Fighters is a regional fraud prevention meet-up launched in late 2021 for BioCatch customer practitioners. Each regional community is made up of a consortium of engaged BioCatch customer practitioners who meet to identify pressing fraud threats and learn the most effective ways to combat them. Led by BioCatch’s Global Advisory team and subject matter experts, these sessions enable BioCatch customers to tap into the BioCatch global network of anti-fraud practitioners, analysts, and thought leaders. Due to overwhelming success and customer requests following the events in 2022, the number of BioCatch Fraud Fighter meet-ups will double to eight in 2023.

In its continued effort to bring the most experienced and renowned experts in the field together to combat fraud, last year BioCatch expanded its Global Advisory team, adding Seth Ruden in North America, Wiebe Fokma in Europe, and Edgar Zayas in Asia-Pacific. They join Iain Swaine in the United Kingdom and Raj Dasgupta in the United States. The team is led by fraud industry expert and BioCatch early leader, Tim Dalgleish.

Commenting on these appointments and their roles in Fraud Fighters, Tim Dalgleish, Vice President of Global Advisory, said: “We are on a mission to harness the latest technologies and the industry’s top talent to ensure that our global customers have access to cutting-edge digital security strategies. Our people are central to our success, and we are delighted to welcome Seth, Wiebe, and Edgar. They are well-respected industry experts dedicated to applying insight and innovation to digital behavior and fraud detection.”

The first Fraud Fighters event of 2023 was held in Sydney on March 8, bringing together over 50 experienced practitioners and fraud experts for a hybrid virtual / in-person day of learning from each other. Future events will be held across Europe, Latin America, and North America as follows:
